No local havia carcaças de dois veículos, além de diversas semijoias avaliadas em R$ 28 mil.

De acordo com a corporação, uma denúncia anônima levou a equipe até a Avenida Paulo de Góes. Quatro homens e uma mulher estavam no local e foram presos em flagrante.

Um dos homens era procurado por não ter retornado da saída temporária de final de ano. Ele confessou ter participado do roubo de um dos carros que sofreram desmanche, um Honda WR-V. O outro carro, um Chevrolet Prisma, tinha queixa de furto, assim como todas as semijoias.

A equipe apresentou todos no 1º Distrito Policial de Campinas e registrou a ocorrência.
