A prisão foi feita pelo policiais do 2º Distrito Policial no centro de Piracicaba (SP).

De acordo com a corporação, a quadrilha aplicou uma série de golpes contra clientes de bancos de várias regiões do país. O prejuízo estimado é de cerca de R$ 5 milhões.

Oito integrantes foram presos em 2017 pelo Departamento Estadual de Investigações Criminais (Deic) nos municípios de São Paulo, Piracicaba, Sumaré e Nova Odessa.

O homem pegou a 11 anos de prisão.
