O Diário Oficial da União publicou a nomeação.

O Senado Federal aprovou a indicação de Corrêa no dia 17 de maio. A análise é um requisito exigido por lei.

De acordo com a Abin, a posse ocorrerá nas próximas semanas.

Histórico

Luiz Fernando Corrêa é delegado aposentado da Polícia Federal.

Nos dois primeiros mandatos de Lula, atuou como secretário nacional de Segurança Pública do Ministério da Justiça, entre 2003 e 2007.

Também esteve, entre 2011 e 2016, na equipe de segurança dos Jogos Olímpicos do Rio de Janeiro e foi diretor-geral da Polícia Federal de 2007 a 2011.
