Conforme apuração do Policial Padrão, a vítima estava com a esposa em uma lanchonete quando por volta das 22h30, o crime aconteceu. Segundo a mulher da vítima, eles estavam sentados em frente ao comércio na Avenida Cora Coralina, quando o autor chegou e atirou diversas vezes contra Mailon.

Os disparos atingiram a região da cabeça da vítima que não resistiu e morreu no local.

A mulher do ajudante relatou à polícia que o autor do crime foi um homem conhecido como “Bahia”, que é o atual companheiro da ex-namorada de Mailon. Ela acredita que o motivo tenha sido ciúmes, já que o atirador vivia fazendo ameaças de morte contra a vítima.

Após o trabalho da perícia, o corpo foi removido ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML). A polícia investiga o crime.
