A colisão entre os veículos aconteceu na noite desta sexta-feira (17) após o motorista do caminhão realizar uma conversão proibida.

De acordo com informações da Polícia Militar (PM), o caminhão seguia pela Rua Rio Branco, sentido Avenida Brasil. Porém, ele realizou uma conversão proibida à esquerda para acessar a Rua Fernando de Camargo e atropelou o motociclista.

Com o impacto, a moto ficou embaixo do caminhão. Equipes de resgate do Corpo de Bombeiros socorreram a vítima em estado grave para o Hospital Municipal. No entanto, o motociclista não resistiu aos ferimentos e morreu na unidade médica.

A polícia encaminhou o motorista para a Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ), onde ele se recusou a realizar o teste do bafômetro. Ele vai responder por homicídio culposo na direção de veículo automotor e dirigir sem habilitação na categoria do veículo.
