O local faz divisa com a empresa Toyobo, no bairro Morada do Sol.

Equipes foram acionadas por um representante da empresa. O denunciante informou que em 2005 aconteceu o mesmo crime, mas na época o problema foi solucionado.

No local, os agentes perceberam que várias árvores nativas haviam sido cortadas e que havia movimentação de terra, com abertura de uma estrada para facilitar o acesso.

Durante a ação, o homem responsável pela mineração foi abordado e relatou que não tinha nenhuma documentação para a extração das pedras.

A área foi totalmente interditada até a chegada da Polícia Científica. O responsável foi encaminhado à Central de Polícia, onde a ocorrência foi registrada.
