Segundo a prefeitura, Max foi protagonista em mais de 50 ocorrências policiais de localização de armas e drogas, colaborando com o trabalho das polícias civil e militar e da GCM de Sumaré.

Max integrou o Canil de Sumaré, coordenado pela ROMU (Ronda Ostensiva Municipal) da GCM, durante seis anos. Em abril de 2020 aposentou-se e foi adotado pela família do condutor de cão GCM Itamar, que cuidou com todo o carinho do cão enquanto doente (ele teve problemas ósseos, na cartilagem e também no fígado e rins) até sua morte.

De raça Pastor Alemão Cinza, Max foi campeão de uma das maiores competições de cães de polícia da América Latina – o BAEP K9 – entre outros campeonatos de destaque na RMC, além da participação em diversas apresentações de “show dog” em escolas, parques, feiras etc.
