O invasor de 43 anos morreu no local.

O policial conta que saiu de sua casa, no bairro Jardim Botânico, para fechar o estabelecimento comercial de sua esposa. Após deixar a casa, a filha dele telefonou para ele dizendo que alguém havia invadido o imóvel.

Assim que o policial retornou, flagrou o invasor no fundo da edícula em posse de uma arma de fogo. Para se proteger, o policial efetuou disparos contra o invasor. A Unidade de Resgate chegou a socorrer o invasor para a Unidade de Pronto Atendimento de São Pedro, porém ele já chegou sem vida na unidade. 

Mais tarde, ficou constatado que a arma de fogo que ele portava era uma réplica.

O caso foi registrado no Plantão Policial.
