O caso foi atendido pela Guarda Municipal de Americana (GAMA) juntamente com a Polícia Militar (PM).

De acordo com o Boletim de Ocorrência, por volta das 00h35 o rapaz estava na casa da sogra, localizada na Rua Valentim Menegatti, quando ela teria oferecido abrigo a uma mulher que estava com duas crianças em situação de rua.

Pouco tempo depois, o marido da moradora de rua começou uma discussão com jovem e deu uma facada nas costa de João Paulo.

O jovem foi socorrido pelo vizinho ao Hospital Municipal de Americana (SP), mas não resistiu aos ferimentos.

O autor não foi identificado até o momento, mas o caso será investigado pela Polícia Civil (PC).

O velório do está marcado para às 13h e sepultamento às 16h no Cemitério da Saudade, em Americana (SP).
