O acidente aconteceu na altura do quilômetro 193 da rodovia, em Corumbataí (SP).

Conforme informações apuradas pelo Policial Padrão, a polícia atendeu a ocorrência por volta das 23h.

A vítima é um motorista de Guarulhos (SP) de 50 anos, que transportava uma carga de tambores. Ele seguia pela faixa da direita da pista, quando cochilou e bateu na traseira de outro caminhão.

O impacto destruiu a frente do veículo e parte da carga caiu na rodovia.

A vítima ficou presa no caminhão e os bombeiros a retiraram pela cabine. O motorista teve ferimentos graves e foi encaminhado para à Santa Casa de Rio Claro (SP).

O veículo atingido era conduzido por um motorista de 30 anos, da cidade de São Sebastião (SP). Ele não se feriu e alegou ter se surpreendido com a batida. A polícia o liberou após coletar o depoimento.

O acidente foi registrado na delegacia de Rio Claro.
