O acidente aconteceu na noite deste sábado (10), na Rodovia D. Pedro I (SP-065).

Conforme apuração do site Policial Padrão, a Polícia Rodoviária atendeu a ocorrência por volta das 23h, na altura do km 145 e encontrou o motorista já em óbito.

A vítima que é de Mogi Guaçu conduzia um Volkswagen Saveiro e pelos vestígios e marcas no local, a equipe constatou que ele bateu contra a traseira de um veículo de grande porte.  O outro envolvido no acidente fugiu sem prestar socorro e não foi identificado.

Equipes da concessionária Rota das Bandeiras, resgate e perícia estiveram no local para os trabalhos necessários e remoção do carro da pista.

O caso foi registrado no 4º Distrito Policial de Campinas.
