De acordo com a GCM, moradores do bairro encontraram a ave e acionaram a corporação. Além do bico quebrado, o tucano estava com uma das patas feridas.

A equipe suspeita que a ave tenha sofrido um acidente por conta da forte chuva que atingiu a cidade no final de semana.

Os guardas recolheram o tucano e o levaram até uma clínica veterinária os cuidados médicos. Posteriormente, ele deve receber uma prótese para o bico e ser reintroduzido na natureza.
