A ação visa desarticular uma associação criminosa voltada a roubos e furtos de caminhões na região de Campinas (SP).

No decorrer do dia, as equipes cumpriram 12 mandados de prisão temporária e nove mandados de busca e apreensão, expedidos pela 2ª Vara Criminal da Comarca de Hortolândia (SP). Os alvos residem nas cidades de Campinas, Hortolândia e Sumaré.

A investigação teve início em dezembro de 2022, a partir de informações processadas pelo serviço de Inteligência do grupo especializado em roubo de caminhões e de cargas da Polícia Federal em Campinas.

Dos mandados de prisão temporária, quatro foram cumpridos em estabelecimentos prisionais, em razão dos investigados já terem sido presos em flagrante pelo crime de receptação durante as investigações.

Os investigados serão encaminhados para a Delegacia de Polícia Federal em Campinas. Eles poderão responder pelos crimes de associação criminosa, roubo, furto, receptação e estelionato. As penas somadas podem ultrapassar 30 anos de reclusão.

Até o fim da manhã de quarta-feira, sete pessoas haviam sido presas e uma estava foragida.
