A ação foi realizada nos dois sentidos da Avenida José de Souza Campos (Norte-Sul), próximo ao número 1.400, na tarde desta quarta-feira, dia 24 de janeiro.

Conforme divulgação da prefeitura, o foco foi a verificação de defeitos nos escapamentos que causam barulho excessivo. Durante a blitz, 17 motos que tinham irregularidades graves nos equipamentos foram recolhidas ao pátio da Emdec. Os veículos permanecem no pátio até que o proprietário regularize a situação.

O objetivo da fiscalização é retirar de circulação as motos “barulhentas” e proporcionar tranquilidade à população.

O subcomandante da Guarda Municipal, Edilson da Silva, explicou que estes veículos têm causado transtornos durante a semana e também nos finais de semana, principalmente no período noturno. “O Código Brasileiro de Trânsito não permite que o veículo transite com o equipamento obrigatório defeituoso”, destacou.

Na operação, agentes da Guarda Municipal e da Emdec verificaram 87 motos e abordaram 118 pessoas.
