O motorista de 52 anos, tentou empurrar o veículo pela rodovia, mas perdeu o controle da direção.

Conforme apuração do Policial Padrão, a caminhonete Mitsubishi Pajero IO, apresentou problemas mecânicos por volta das 3h, na altura do km 86. Ela parou sobre a faixa de rolamento e quando o motorista saiu para empurrar o veículo, perdeu o controle da direção.

A caminhonete seguiu sem controle até um lote além do acostamento, onde bateu contra uma árvore e ficou com toda a frente danificada.

Uma equipe de resgate da Concessionária Eixo-SP prestou o primeiro atendimento ao motorista, mas ele recusou ser socorrido ao pronto-socorro.

Quando a Polícia Rodoviária chegou, o motorista também recusou o teste de bafômetro e foi autuado conforme previsto pelo Código de Trânsito Brasileiro (CTB).

O veículo foi removido do local até um posto de combustível na cidade de Ipeúna (SP).
