A colisão aconteceu por volta das 21h30 e foi atendida pelo Corpo de Bombeiros.

De acordo com a corporação, os militares foram acionados para atender uma ocorrência de acidente de trânsito na Rua Maranhão.

No local, havia uma EcoSport e uma motocicleta Honda NX-4 Falcon caída ao solo. O motorista do carro foi identificado como Pedro Henrique Araújo Ponde de Oliveira, de 23 anos, o motociclista Djailson José Cruz da Silva, 32 anos.

A Polícia Militar (PM) relatou que Pedro Henrique teria entrado na rua para pegar a alça de acesso sentido Rodovia Anhanguera, nesta mesmo momento o veículo foi atingido pela motocicleta. A EcoSport capotou com a batida e acabou caindo em cima da cabeça do motociclista que já estava ao solo.

Os dois foram socorridos ao Hospital Municipal, porém não resistiram aos ferimentos. Duas adolescentes também estavam no carro, porém não tiveram ferimentos.

A perícia foi até o local e realizou seu trabalho. O caso foi registrado como homicídio culposo na direção de automotor.
