Com o impacto, o caminhão bateu em um poste de energia elétrica.

O acidente aconteceu por volta de 21h30 na Avenida John Boyd Dunlop, no bairro Satélite Íris. O motorista do ônibus teria admitido que dormiu ao volante.

As vítimas, duas mulheres, de 31 e 51 anos, ficaram feridas. Elas eram passageiras do ônibus e foram encaminhadas pelo resgate ao Pronto-Socorro do Campo Grande.

A faixa direita da avenida precisou ser bloqueada pois havia risco de queda do poste atingido.

Em nota, a Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz (CPFL) informou que atuou para isolar o poste e que a substituição da estrutura será programada. Segundo a empresa, não houve falta de energia para clientes.
