O caso aconteceu na noite desta quarta-feira (31) e ambos foram encaminhados ao hospital até a completa expulsão das cápsulas.

De acordo com a polícia, os dois detidos tentavam embarcar para a França e um deles, de origem húngara, foi capturado com 110 cápsulas de cocaína em seu organismo. O segundo, um cidadão brasileiro, estava com 127 cápsulas.

Ambos foram encaminhados ao Hospital Mario Gatti em Campinas, onde receberão atendimento médico necessário até a completa expulsão das cápsulas. Somente após esse procedimento será possível determinar a quantidade exata da droga transportada.

Essas prisões são o resultado direto do intensivo trabalho de fiscalização no Terminal de Passageiros do Aeroporto de Viracopos, destacando a eficácia da colaboração entre as forças de segurança no combate ao tráfico de drogas. A ação teve apoio da Receita Federal e da Guarda Civil.

Os detidos responderão por tráfico internacional de drogas, um crime que, sob a legislação brasileira, pode resultar em penas de até 25 anos de prisão.
