De acordo com a corporação, os policiais militares receberam uma denúncia de maus tratos aos animais no Parque Salermo.

No local foi feita fiscalização e constataram aproximadamente 50 pássaros nativos em cativeiro, sem autorização de nenhum órgão competente.

Os policiais relataram que a multa pode chegar a R$ 50 mil, já que algumas espécies estão em extinção.

Um veterinário foi acionado e mediante ao lado 43 puderam ser soltas.

O caso foi registrado na Polícia Civil de Sumaré (SP).
