O acidente aconteceu na madrugada desta quinta-feira (14), na região do Jardim Novo Ângulo.

Conforme apuração do Policial Padrão, a perseguição começou por volta da 1h30, quando uma equipe da Polícia Militar (PM) viu uma moto Yamaha Fazer transitando sem placa.

Os policiais deram ordem de parada ao condutor, mas ele ignorou e fugiu passando por diversas ruas da cidade sentido a Ponte Estaiada, que está em obras.

Quando chegou na Rua Geovane Passarela, que estava devidamente sinalizada e bloqueada, o motociclista ultrapassou a área e acabou batendo violentamente contra um caminhão guindaste que realizava serviços no local. O rapaz morreu na hora.

A PM encontrou uma porção de maconha na pochete da vítima e constatou que os sinais de identificação da moto estavam raspados.

O local do acidente passou por perícia e o corpo do rapaz foi encaminhado para o Instituto Médico Legal (IML).
