A Operação Nefertum tem como alvo cinco locais na cidade de Sumaré,na região de Campinas, e um endereço na Zona Norte da Capital. As apurações indicaram a produção e comercialização de fragrâncias e embalagens pirateadas de grifes internacionais.

A Operação Nefertum, que é o nome de entidade egípcia relacionada aos perfumes, é realizada por policiais da 1ª Delegacia DIG (Antipirataria). As equipes realizam ações em endereços nos Jardins Maria Luiza, Maria Antônia, Recanto do Sonhos e Dal’Orto, em Sumaré (sp). Também no Parque Novo Mundo, na cidade de São Paulo.

O combate contra a falsificação de perfume visa proteger a população devido à produção sem controle das substâncias utilizada nas fórmulas. Procedimentos que pode colocar em risco a saúde da população.
