De acordo com a Polícia Militar (PM), por volta das 22h, os policiais foram acionados para atender um furto em andamento pela Rua Equador.

No local, a população informou que dois indivíduos estariam furtando fios. A equipe da PM, ao averiguar a viela ao lado do estabelecimento, se deparou com um dos autores. Ele estava com fios de aproximadamente um metro e meio, uma turquesa e um alicate. O outro indivíduo conseguiu fugir pelo telhado.

Dentro do galpão, os policiais identificaram que os indivíduos acessaram o local pelo telhado danificando parte dele. Eles cortaram vários fios e separaram alguns objetos como uma furadeira, uma torneira, um disco de corte, um disjuntor e um galão de água.

O caso foi apresentado no Plantão Policial da cidade, onde o criminoso permaneceu preso.
