Equipes da Guarda Municipal foram solicitadas a comparecer na praça de esportes do bairro Jardim São Pedro, após uma denúncia informando que as luzes da praça haviam se apagado por conta de um curto circuito, no momento em que quatro indivíduos estavam ali.

De acordo com a denúncia, estava ocorrendo um possível furto no local. Os Guardas Civis Asbahr e Ricardo conseguiram abordar dois indivíduos que estavam com alguns objetos furtados.

Encaminhados ao plantão policial, o responsável pela praça de esportes foi acionado e reconheceu os objetos. Os indivíduos de 30 e 28 anos foram presos em flagrante por furto qualificado, conduzidos a cadeia pública de Sumaré.
