O evento, coordenado pelo Secretário Municipal de Segurança Pública e Trânsito, Sr. Fábio Teixeira Louro, reuniu representantes de diversos setores da sociedade, conselheiros municipais, autoridades locais e convidados.

A audiência teve como objetivo apresentar à comunidade o ‘Plano Municipal de Prevenção à Violência e Segurança Pública’, esclarecendo seus conceitos, abordagens didáticas e metas.

O plano foi elaborado com base nas prioridades identificadas durante a avaliação da situação de violência na cidade, visando compreender as dinâmicas do crime em Cosmópolis.

Um dos principais objetivos do plano é a implementação da política de segurança pública e do Sistema Único de Segurança Pública (SUSP) no município, em conformidade com a Constituição Federal de 1988, leis infraconstitucionais, planos nacionais e estaduais de segurança pública, Lei Orgânica do Município, Plano Diretor e Lei Orçamentária.
