Cinco vítimas estavam no mesmo veículo e seguiam do Jardim Itatinga para Indaiatuba (SP).

De acordo com a Polícia Militar Rodoviária, os cinco amigos seguiam em um Peugeot 307, quando na altura do km 65 o motorista perdeu o controle. Ele atravessou o canteiro central e invadiu a pista contrária batendo de frente com um Jeep Renegade.

Quatro ocupantes do veículo Peugeot morreram no local. Três deles foram arremessados para fora do veículo e a polícia acredita que eles estavam sem cinto. Dentro do carro, a polícia também encontrou uma garrafa de bebida alcoólica.

Com o impacto, o Jeep atingido rodou na pista. O motorista estava sozinho e foi encaminhado com ferimentos leves ao Hospital Ouro Verde. Já o único sobrevivente do outro veículo foi levado ao Hospital da PUC em estado grave.

Os corpos foram encaminhados ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) e ainda não há informações sobre sepultamento.
