Entre os dia 18 e 25 de setembro foram abordadas mais de duas mil pessoas com ações educativas da campanha “Faixa de Pedestre: Eu Respeito”. Os munícipes que respeitaram a faixa receberam brindes dos agentes de trânsito e guardas municipais. Para ofertar os presentes, a Sesetran (Secretaria de Segurança, Trânsito e Defesa Civil) contou com a parceria do comércio local. Foram entregues 1.531 brindes.

O objetivo da campanha foi conscientizar pedestres e condutores no uso correto da faixa de pedestre. A ação foi realizada na área central e na Avenida Monte Castelo e contou com banners, faixas, intervenções de personagens e entrega de folders informativos.

A Semana Nacional de Trânsito é comemorada anualmente, conforme previsto no artigo nº 326 do Código de Trânsito Brasileiro, e é um período destinado à promoção de ações educativas pelo Órgãos e Entidades de Trânsito, de maneira padronizada e maciça. Destaca-se ainda que é neste período em que celebra-se o aniversário do Código de Trânsito Brasileiro no dia 23 de setembro.
