A prisão aconteceu no Jardim Bela Vista. A polícia suspeita que ele e um comparsa, que conseguiu fugir, seriam responsáveis por diversos roubos na região.

A equipe estava em patrulhamento quando suspeitou da dupla em uma moto Honda CG 160. Ao perceber que seriam abordados, o condutor acelerou e tentou fugir pela Rodovia Anhanguera (SP-330).

Segundo o boletim de ocorrência, o homem realizou uma manobra perigosa e ele e o garupa caíram da moto. Durante a queda, o passageiro da moto tentou esconder um revólver calibre 32, e o jogou debaixo de um veículo estacionado. A equipe policial conseguiu alcançar o suspeito e o prendeu.

Durante a conversa com o suspeito detido, ele revelou que o comparsa que fugiu havia o buscado na residência onde ele mora utilizando a moto. Essa informação foi confirmada pelas imagens das câmeras de segurança do condomínio onde o garupa vivia.

O homem preso foi levado até à delegacia. O armamento foi apreendido e a Polícia Civil (PC), busca pelo outro suspeito que fugiu.

Os investigadores buscam saber ainda se a dupla está envolvida nos assaltos na região.
