O motorista que faleceu e causou o acidente, seguia pela contramão. O caso aconteceu no km 70, pista sentido Indaiatuba (SP), na madrugada deste sábado (15).

Segundo informações da Polícia Militar Rodoviária (PMR), o condutor de um Renault Clio com placas de Sumaré (SP), ainda por motivos a serem esclarecidos, seguia pela contramão quando atingiu frontalmente um Fiat Punto onde seguiam duas pessoas.

O motorista do Clio, também segundo a polícia, era inabilitado e morreu ainda no local.

Os ocupantes do outro veículo foram socorridos e levados com ferimentos leves para hospitais de Campinas.

A perícia esteve no local e o caso foi registrado no Plantão da Segunda Delegacia Seccional de Campinas como homicídio culposo – quando não há a intenção de matar – na direção de veículo automotor.

O corpo do motorista foi recolhido por volta das 7h por equipes da Serviços Técnicos Gerais (Setec) de Campinas. O carro dele foi apreendido.
