O acidente aconteceu na Rodovia Virgínia Viel Campo Dall’Orto, que liga a região central da cidade à Rodovia Anhanguera (SP-330).

De acordo com a Polícia Rodoviária, o motorista seguia em um Chevrolet Astra quando o acidente aconteceu. Ele atravessou o canteiro central e chegou a capotar antes de bater de frente com a moto, na pista contrária.

O Corpo de Bombeiros atendeu a ocorrência e socorreu a vítima, mas ela não resistiu aos ferimentos e morreu no local.

Um casal estava no veículo e teve ferimentos leves. Os dois foram socorridos até a Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) Macarenko.

O motorista de 29 anos, passou pelo teste de bafômetro, que constatou 0,73 mg/L e confirmou o consumo de álcool. Ele foi preso em flagrante pelo crime.
