Agentes cumpriram mandados de busca e apreensão em 10 endereços, além de um mandado de prisão temporária.

De acordo com a polícia, a ação visa desmantelar uma organização criminosa que tem como alvos caminhões de grande porte. Os bandidos agem atraindo as vítimas com um falso serviço de frete, depois roubam o veículo e os encaminham para o Paraguai.

Já as vítimas, são sequestradas e mantidas em cárcere privado para extorsão, sendo liberadas apenas após realizarem transferências bancárias.

Durante a investigação, a polícia identificou cinco pessoas envolvidas nos crimes, incluindo três mulheres que recebiam as transferências das vítimas sequestradas via PIX.

Apenas um dos criminosos, de 37 anos, foi localizado nesta quinta-feira. Ele ficou preso à disposição da Justiça.

Nos endereços vistoriados, a equipe ainda apreendeu celulares e diversos produtos furtados na distribuidora do Mercado Dia. Um envolvido no delito foi detido.
