De acordo com a corporação, as prisões aconteceram no Jardim Celina após investigações da Polícia Civil. A equipe utilizou o sistema de muralha digital da cidade, para identificar veículos suspeitos e localizou duas motos Honda Fan em Limeira.

Dois casais de namorados ocupavam os veículos no momento da abordagem. As motos estavam com as numerações de chassi raspadas, indicando que podem ter sido roubadas ou furtadas.

Ainda segundo a Guarda, os dois homens abordados, possuem conexões com outro membro da quadrilha, capturado na segunda-feira (26). Eles ficaram detidos por conduzir veículo adulterado, enquanto as mulheres foram liberadas.

A cooperação entre GCM e Deic tem sido vital para desarticular essa quadrilha especializadas em roubos e furtos. As investigações continuam para identificar outros possíveis envolvidos nos crimes.

A GCM informou que a população pode contribuir fornecendo informações e denúncias através do telefone 153.
