O acidente aconteceu por volta das 19h30, na região do Parque Santa Bárbara.

Conforme apuração do Policial Padrão, o PM é integrante da Ronda Ostensiva com Apoio de Motocicletas (Rocam). Ele conduzia um veículo da corporação no momento do acidente.

O policial estava em patrulhamento e ao acessar a Rua Bernardino Bonavita, um cachorro atravessou a frente do veículo. Ele relatou que tentou desviar para evitar o atropelamento, mas não conseguiu e caiu da moto após o impacto.

O PM ficou com fortes dores na perna direita e recebeu os primeiros socorros da equipe do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu). Logo depois, a equipe o encaminhou ao Pronto Atendimento Padre Anchieta.

De acordo com o registro do caso, o policial sofreu luxações na perna. Já o estado do cachorro atropelado, não foi citado no boletim de ocorrência.
