De acordo com a corporação, o sistema de rastreamento ajudou na localização e dois homens foram detidos.

Ainda segundo a PM, a carga saiu da cidade de Jundiaí (SP) e a empresa perdeu o sinal de rastreamento em Rio Claro (SP). Só depois, a empresa recuperou o sinal, já na cidade de Americana.

A carga estava em um galpão na Rua do Eletricista. No endereço havia duas carretas carregadas com energéticos da marca Monster totalizando cerca de 23 mil latas, além de um bloqueador de sinal.

A polícia ainda identificou e abordou uma van com placas de Rio Claro (SP) envolvida no crime. A abordagem aconteceu na Avenida Bandeirante e dois homens de 23 anos estavam no veículo. Na van também havia 24 latas dos produtos roubados.

A dupla confessou participação no roubo e ficou presa em flagrante.
