O crime aconteceu em uma casa no bairro Jardim Eulina, em Campinas (SP).

De acordo com informações da Polícia Militar (PM), uma equipe foi ao local na Rua Mario Junqueira da Silva, por volta das 2h45. O autor estado deitado ao lado da mulher no quarto.

Ainda segundo a PM, o homem confessou que matou a esposa a facadas após uma discussão. O motivo seria ela estar usando drogas enquanto ele trabalha.

Logo após o crime, ele teria ingerido veneno para cometer suicídio e a equipe o encaminhou para o pronto-socorro.

Em nota, a Secretaria de Segurança Pública (SSP) informou que assim que receber alta, o homem será preso. Não há informações sobre o estado de saúde dele.

A polícia registrou o caso na 2ª Delegacia de Defesa da Mulher (DDM) de Campinas como feminicídio e tentativa de suicídio. A Polícia Civil vai apurar o crime.
