O crime teria sido motivado por uma discussão entre os envolvidos, ocorrida há alguns dias.

De acordo com apuração do Policial Padrão, o caso aconteceu por volta das 11h30, na Rua Melvim Jones, região do bairro Vila Valle.

A vítima de 39 anos relatou à polícia que dois dias antes discutiu com o autor do crime em frente à antiga Fiat. No sábado, os dois se encontraram novamente e o outro homem, esfaqueou a vítima na barriga e depois fugiu.

A companheira da vítima flagrou o ataque e chamou ajuda. Uma equipe do Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) socorreu o homem ferido ao Hospital Estadual de Sumaré. Não há informações atualizadas sobre o estado de saúde dele.

O caso foi registrado como lesão corporal.
