Quando soube que o veículo seria apreendido, o homem pediu para retirar os bens do automóvel e provocou o incêndio.

De acordo com a Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM), a ocorrência aconteceu por volta das 16h, na Rua Narcisa de Abreu Soares. O motorista embriagado conduzia um Fiat Palio e bateu em um Jeep Renegade.

Não houve feridos no acidente, mas a GCM constatou que o Palio estava com o licenciamento vencido desde 2018.

Os agentes informaram o motorista embriagado de que o carro seria apreendido e ele pediu autorização para retirar os pertences. Foi nesse momento, que o homem ateou fogo em um galão de gasolina que estava dentro do próprio carro.

O fogo destruiu todo o interior do Palio e danificou o Jeep que estava ao lado dele.

O autor do crime foi detido e conduzido ao plantão policial de Jaguariúna (SP). Ele vai responder por incêndio e embriaguez ao volante.
