A abordagem aconteceu na Rua Rio Claro, região do Jardim Brasília.

A equipe recebeu informações sobre um Chevrolet Onix transitando no bairro com ocupantes que seriam criminosos responsáveis por diversos furtos e roubos na cidade.

Os policiais intensificaram as buscas e localizaram o veículo. O condutor, que já era conhecido no meio policial por outros crimes, ignorou a ordem de parada e tentou fugir.

Houve uma rápida perseguição que durou até o Ônix bater em um carro estacionado na rua.

Na abordagem, o motorista disse aos militares que fugiu porque o carro era furtado. Ele confessou que pagou cerca de R$ 2 mil pelo veículo, mesmo sabendo da irregularidade.

De acordo com a PM, o carro estava com a placa trocada. A equipe pesquisou o número do chassi e descobriu uma queixa de furto registrada no dia 5 de maio, em Americana (SP).

Diante das evidências, o motorista foi levado ao Distrito Policial e preso. O carro ficou apreendido.
