A equipe descobriu o crime através da pesquisa de chassi.

De acordo com os agentes, por volta das 9h, eles foram averiguar um carro Hyundai HB20 estacionado na Rua Uirapuru. Segundo uma denúncia, o automóvel possuía características de roubo ou furto.

A placa não acusou nenhuma queixa, mas a equipe notou que o veículo estava aberto, com a ignição danificada e sem estepe.

Em nova pesquisa, dessa vez pelo número de chassi, os agentes descobriram um registro de furto e a placa original do carro. O crime aconteceu na mesma cidade no dia 28 de fevereiro.

A equipe solicitou um guincho e apreendeu o veículo após comunicar o caso no plantão policial.
