O caso aconteceu na residência da vítima no Jardim São Maurício.

De acordo com apuração do Policial Padrão, o crime aconteceu por volta das 19h30. A vítima de 33 anos teve uma discussão com o marido no quintal da residência e o cunhado se meteu na confusão.

O homem foi para cima dela e perguntou se a mulher tinha dúvida de que ele a mataria.  Em seguida, deu golpes com a tesoura na testa e pescoço da vítima.

O cunhado seguiu atingindo diversas áreas do corpo da vítima, até que ela conseguiu correr e se trancou no banheiro.

A Polícia Militar (PM) atendeu a ocorrência e ao chegar no endereço se deparou com o autor do crime tentando fugir. A equipe o deteve, e o homem confessou que pretendia matar a cunhada.

Já a mulher, estava desmaiada no banheiro devido à grande perda de sangue e com graves lesões.

O Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) deu os primeiros socorros e depois encaminhou a mulher ao hospital municipal. Ela ficou internada sob observação médica.

A PM apresentou o autor do crime no plantão policial. Porém, apesar da confissão, o delegado não teve a convicção jurídica de uma tentativa de homicídio e elaborou um boletim de ocorrência de lesão corporal.
