Funcionários do Cemitério da Saudade de Americana constataram, na manhã desta segunda-feira (08), entre ás 5h e 5h45, o furto de peças de bronze da sepultura dos Pracinhas, tombada como patrimônio histórico do município. Os ladrões fugiram em um veículo, segundo a Administração do Cemitério.

Foram levados um capacete e uma espada, mas um levantamento está sendo feito ainda para a verificação de mais objetos que possam ter sido furtados do local, segundo a Unidade de Serviços Urbanos (USU) da prefeitura.

Um boletim de ocorrência foi registrado na Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ) e os fator serão apurados. O cemitério conta com vigilância diurna e à noite são feitas rondas pela Guarda Municipal de Americana (GAMA).

Algumas melhorias estão sendo estudadas para coibir ações de vandalismo e de furtos, como subir a altura dos muros e intensificar as rondas, segundo a USU.
