De acordo com informações da Polícia Militar (PM), a equipe da Base Comunitária Móvel atendeu o chamado da ocorrência às 9h10, e iniciou as buscas pelo suspeito segundo a descrição fornecida. O indivíduo vestia calça azul, camisa cinza, máscara e estava com um cachorro.

A equipe composta pelos militares Cabo Cesar, Soldados Assis e Rocha, encontrou um homem que batia com a descrição na Avenida Doutor Antônio Lobo, próximo ao Terminal Municipal e o abordou.

Os frascos foram encontrados na mochila dele, e ao ser questionado, ele confessou o crime.

Ainda segundo a PM, o sujeito já possuía passagens criminais por roubo (Art. 157) e apropriação indébita (Art. 168).

O homem foi levado à Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ) e uma representante do comércio furtado reconheceu os objetos.

Um boletim de furto foi elaborado e o ladrão liberado para responder ao delito em liberdade.
