De acordo com apuração do Policial Padrão, por volta das 17h, um Ford Fiesta tentou ultrapassar o veículo da frente na altura do km 126, região do Jardim Alvorada. Quando o motorista viu que não ia conseguir finalizar a ação, virou o volante para a direita para evitar uma batida, perdeu o controle da direção e capotou.

Duas pessoas estavam no carro, o motorista de 72 anos e uma mulher de 38, que sofreram ferimentos leves.

O Corpo de Bombeiros fez o atendimento às vítimas e as encaminhou para o Hospital Municipal de Americana. O idoso sofreu ferimentos na cabeça e mão esquerda, enquanto a mulher teve pequenas escoriações.

O motorista que reside em Santa Bárbara d’Oeste (SP) recusou o teste de bafômetro e vai responder pela infração.
