A carreta com os tijolos de maconha escondidos em uma carga de sorgo, foi interceptada nessa manhã de sábado (31), na Rodovia Luiz de Queiroz, próximo ao viaduto Luciano Salvador.

O carregamento de sorgo veio de Pedro Juan Cabalero no Paraguai. Ao todo foram contabilizados 1.192,5kg de maconha, divididos em 1.205 tijolos. As drogas teriam como destino as cidades de Americana e Hortolândia.

Durante a abordagem, o motorista não esboçou qualquer reação, afirmando que sabia que haviam coisas erradas na carreta, mas não sabia o que era. Ele foi então preso em flagrante.

A operação chamada “Faixa de Gaza” estava realizando investigações há três meses, e a carreta estava sendo monitorada há dois dias. Os agentes a creditam ser a maior apreensão da história da Polícia Civil.
