A abordagem aconteceu na altura do km 159, na Rodovia dos Bandeirantes (SP-348).

Durante fiscalização de trânsito, os policiais abordaram uma moto motocicleta Kawasaki Ninja 250R, com placa de Leme (SP). Duas pessoas ocupavam o veículo e na mochila da passageira, a equipe encontrou um macaco sagui e uma cobra-do-milho.

O macaco estava em uma gaiola e a cobra em um pote de plástico com furos.

Diante dos fatos, a dupla recebeu voz de prisão por suspeita de tráfico de animais e maus-tratos.

Os animais e a dupla foram levados para a Delegacia de Investigações Gerais (DIG) de Limeira (SP), onde o caso será registrado.

A ação teve participação da Polícia Ambiental que tomou as medidas administrativas cabíveis.
