Os patrulheiros Cleber, Damaceno e Dgiovanny adentraram a rua do Petróleo quando foram chamados por um popular pedindo ajuda e muito desesperado, sendo então identificado como proprietário de uma lanchonete, de 38 anos, dizendo que seu trailer foi atingido por um carro desgovernado e que seus funcionários haviam se ferido.

No local o veiculo Fiat/Strada de Santa Bárbara D’Oeste com seu condutor identificado, foi visivelmente identificado pelos agentes sinais de embriaguez, exalando forte odor etílico, palavras desconexas e sem equilíbrio para ficar em pé. Segundo o motorista, um caminhoneiro de 47 anos, disse ter ingerido três latas de cerveja e estava a caminho de sua casa quando não observou o trailer e bateu.

Uma das vitimas mais graves, autônoma de 22 anos, com ferimentos no braço e na cabeça foi socorrida por populares até o Hospital Dr. Afonso Ramos, os outros com ferimentos leves não quiseram ser socorridos.

Devido os fatos os guardas municipais apresentaram o condutor do veículo ao plantão policial onde aceitou fazer exames de sangue para exame de alcoolemia, sendo após, liberado e seu carro recolhido ao deposito municipal e os fatos registrados em Boletim de Ocorrência.
