A operação foi realizada por equipes do Serviço Aerotático (SAT) do Departamento de Operações Policiais Estratégicas (Dope) com o uso do helicóptero Pelicano.

O órgão foi trazido do interior de São Paulo para ser implantado em uma paciente que faria o segundo transplante, já que fora acometida pelo Covid 19 após o primeiro transplante.

Mesmo atravessando lugares com os mínimos de visibilidade no caminho de volta, a missão foi cumprida graças à colaboração de toda a equipe, desde o mecânico de manutenção à equipe da administrativa da instituição.
