O caso ocorreu na Rua Ralfo Elíseos Monteiro dos Santos, no distrito industrial de Iracemápolis (SP).

O Corpo de Bombeiros compareceu no local para combater o incêndio do caminhão e já acionou também a PM para averiguar o crime.

No local, os policiais flagraram um caminhão-tanque parcialmente queimado. O veículo estava sendo utilizado para o transbordo de combustível para outro veículo, que já não se encontrava mais pelo local. Durante a abordagem, o motorista do caminhão, um funcionário e o dono da propriedade confirmaram o delito. Os três foram presos em flagrante.

Segundo a PM, também foram apreendidos 16 mil litros de metanol.
