De acordo com informações da Polícia Militar (PM), o crime ocorreu por volta das 11h30, na Travessa Assis. A vítima sofreu graves lesões no maxilar, com suspeita de fratura, possivelmente provocadas por pauladas.

O Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) prestou socorro à vítima, que foi encaminhada ao Hospital dos Fornecedores de Cana.

O companheiro dela foi preso em flagrante e encaminhado para a Delegacia de Defesa da Mulher (DDM).

A polícia apura a motivação do crime e tenta confirmar que tipo de arma foi usada.
