O helicóptero Águia da Polícia Militar (PM) socorreu as vítimas.

De acordo com informações da Polícia Rodoviária, o acidente aconteceu por volta das 10h30, na altura do km 61. No local, a motorista de um Volkswagen Polo estava a caminho de Campinas (SP) quando perdeu o controle da direção e bateu na traseira de um Volkswagen Up.

Na sequência, o Polo cruzou o canteiro central, invadiu a pista contrária e bateu de frente com outros dois veículos, uma van Asa Topic e um Fiat Cronos.

A motorista do Polo morreu no local.  Já o condutor e um passageiro da van ficaram gravemente feridos e foram socorridos pelo helicóptero Águia ao Hospital de Clínicas da Unicamp.

Os demais envolvidos no acidente não precisaram de atendimento médico.

A pista teve que ser totalmente bloqueada para atendimento às vítimas, gerando um congestionamento de aproximadamente cinco quilômetros.

A polícia apura as circunstâncias do acidente.
