Uma força-tarefa composta pela Guarda Civil Municipal (GCM), Polícia Militar e Agentes de Trânsito participaram da ação.

As equipes verificaram que um desses carros tinha o para-brisa quebrado e estava sem as rodas. Além disso, havia acúmulo de água com possíveis focos do mosquito Aedes aegypti.

O proprietário foi notificado para remover o veículo em 24 horas – caso contrário, o carro será removido pelo Departamento de Trânsito.

Os demais veículos devem ser retirados dos locais em até cinco dias – já que não há risco de acúmulo de água.

O objetivo da operação, prevista em legislação, é evitar que veículos inservíveis e em situação de abandono permaneçam na via pública, pois, além de ocuparem vagas de estacionamento, podem ser utilizados para a prática de ações ilícitas, como esconderijo para criminosos e drogas, e ainda se tornarem pontos de criadouros da dengue.
